CONCUSSION SCREENING OFFER
During July – September 2022, Ollie Howard – Sports Therapist- will be offering his expertise in concussion management to provide baseline testing in order to prepare for the upcoming winter sports season. Suitable for those age 13 upwards.
With up to 30% of concussion injuries going on to develop post concussion syndrome (especially in the young athlete), baseline testing can aid in the safe return to play. Evidence shows that making ‘return to play’ decisions based on symptom resolution alone is a poor indicator of recovery.
These baseline results will be stored securely in order to use in the unwelcome event of a concussion.
The cost of a screening session is £40 per person which includes the SCAT5 and other baseline analysis
